Woodford is located in East Fairmount Park, near numerous cultural and historic resources.
Hours: Tuesday-Sunday from 10-4. Closed on major holidays.
Tours: Guided tours only. Admission for a guided tour is $5.00 for adults, $3 for senior citizens, and $2 for children (ages 6-12). To schedule a special customized group tour call: (215) 229-6115.
DIRECTIONS
From Center City:
Travel north on Kelly Drive. At the large equestrian statue of General Grant, turn right onto Fountain Green Drive. Proceed on Fountain Green Drive. It bends right and becomes Reservoir Drive. At the stop sign by the tennis courts turn right onto Dauphin Street. Woodford will be on your left.
From the Schuylkill Expressway Westbound:
Exit at Girard Avenue. Cross the Girard Avenue Bridge and turn left at the second traffic light onto 33rd Street. Travel north on 33rd Street and turn left on to Reservoir Drive/Oxford Street. Continue on Reservoir Drive to the stop sign by the tennis courts. Turn right onto Dauphin Street. Woodford, surrounded by a white picket fence, will be on your left.
From Schuylkill Expressway Eastbound:
Exit 340A at City Avenue onto Kelly Drive (East River Drive). Follow Kelly Drive south to the large equestrian statue of General Grant. Turn left onto Fountain Green Drive. Then follow the directions above from the statue.
From Northwest of Philadelphia:
Take Rt. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) south. Exit Kelly Drive/Ridge Avenue. Go straight crossing Ridge Avenue then make a left onto Kelly Drive. Follow Kelly Drive south to the large equestrian statue of General Grant. Turn left onto Fountain Green Drive. Then follow the directions above from the statue.
Public Transportation:
Woodford can be reached by taking SEPTA bus route 32. The bus travels on 33rd Street and stops in front of Woodford at Dauphin Street.
